Hi, I’m Rachael Mole

I’ve been disabled since the age of 12 with multiple invisible disabilities. Growing up and navigating a world of unnecessary barriers fueled my passion for inclusion- but I saw a problem.

So few organisations consider disability as part of their D&I strategy- only 4% (ONS). Too often, it’s a thought at the end of a project when the budget is gone, but the pressure to make a product/ service/ process accessible remains.

After running SIC for three years as Founder and CEO, a non-profit dedicated to supporting organisations to be more accessible for their employees, I’m looking at the problem differently.

I have a passion for project and people management. Working on the processes and projects right from the start with inclusion and accessibility in mind means that by the time the project is finished, not only will accessibility be embedded and second nature- it will be as though it belonged there all along! (Spoiler: it did!)

I am about to embark on a research project funded by the Churchill Fellowship to study inclusion and accessibility and the role they have in driving innovation within an organisation. The findings will be shared openly, including with policy groups, MPs, and organisations. This research will go on to shape my consultancy, offering the latest research in inclusion in the workplace to organisations who are ready to pioneer in this space.
